According to the AmericanInstitute for Cancer Research, 7.6 million deaths per year worldwide were caused by cancer. The cost of “treating” (killing and mutilating) cancer patients in the United States alone is over 100 billion dollars a year.
Causes of Cancer:
Many factors have been associated with cancer. Tobacco, alcohol, pollution, an unhealthy work environment, food additives, pesticides, drugs, emotional stress and dietary habits have been cited as the most common factors causing cancer.
Dietary Factors:
According to Doll and Peto, the estimated percentage of cancer deaths caused by tobacco was 30%, while that by diet was 35%! Excess dietary fat has been identified as an important contributing factor to colon, liver, gallbladder, breast and endometrial cancers. Ingestion of saccharin and sodium nitrite (food preservatives) have also been associated with cancer. Birth control pills have been reported to contribute to cancers in the female reproductive system.
In more than three decades of practice, I have found that the same dietarity habit which causes the overgrowth of yeasts and parasites also causes cancer! For example, I have noticed that a high incidence of stomach and esophageal cancers among Asian populations is associated with a high intake of fermented, yeast-loaded pickles.
Dr. Otto Warburg, a Nobel Prize winner in Science in 1931, demonstrates that a cancer cell has the metabolism of a plant cell. He describes the process as “fermentation.” A plant cell thrives on carbon dioxide and gives off oxygen as its waste product. This is opposite to the function of “normal cells.”
Dr. Gaston Naessens, a renowned Canadian biologist in his research for a cancer solution, developed an advanced microscope capable of magnifying 30,000 times (standard microscopes are capable of magnifying 1,800 times). This enabled him to carefully observe an important phenomenon called polymorphism (the ability to change form). This is also known as the process of fermentation.
When the fermentation process takes place, a cell reverts itself to a more primitive state. This results in more rapid growth and chaos. Moreover, this fermentation process changes the biochemical codes or sensors of the cell.
The weakened immune system cannot identify the invader and start the normal battle to get rid of this invader. In fact, a weakened immunity may even adopt the identity of the foe (a fermented cancer cell) and attack a normal cell. Some health practitioners call this autoimmune disease.
Psychological Factors:
Many researchers assert that we all have cancer genes (oncogenes) in our body. The reason why some get cancer but others don’t, is due to the way we handle stressors in our life. After dealing with numerous cancer clients, I have found that there is symbolic meaning in each type of cancer. For example, women who have breast cancer are usually givers or care-takers. They had been busy giving love and care to others but had not received the nurturing they needed. In some cases, they craved love and nurturing but did not get it because their husbands had extramarital affairs. Another example is that when a woman has uterine cancer, usually she has unfinished issues regarding sexuality such as sexual molestation or rape. A person who has throat or thyroid cancer usually has unexpressed rage.
In the next article, I will discuss natural remedies for cancer. Stay tuned!
